Booked with them 3 weeks ago just to speak to a rude, condescending front desk associate who had no desire to help. Told me the opposite of what i spoke about with someone on the phone. Told me that ill just “waste their time”. Be aware and make sure you’re on the same page before having them start work on your vehicle. I dodged a bullet and decided not to have them look at my vehicle.
Ward’s is the best mechanic around! They are honest, helpful, kind and don’t gouge at all. Being a woman it’s always a concern you may get taken advantage of in this industry but I have never felt that way here. They are true to their word and are great at communicating. Everyone I’ve encountered there has been awesome and just plain nice. 10/10 would recommend.
This was my first time having my car repaired at Ward Auto. Previously, I have had family in the business and I was worried I wouldn’t find a mechanic I could trust the same way I trust my brother. Rob and Glen were so genuine, kind and easy going, I felt at ease immediately! I was super happy with the quality of work and the upfront, honest and reasonable pricing!
Ethical, honest, quality and fair pricing. Glenn and his team are knowledgeable and experienced. This is a shop you can trust, they don’t nickel and dime you or add extra work to line their pockets. I have had different issues with multiple vehicles over the years and always fixed!!! This is the only place I go!
Not trustworthy. I went in 3 years ago because the car wouldn't start. I was told that I needed a new battery. The guys were very pleasant. Anyway, they made me choose between name brand and no name brand then suggested I go with the name brand, to which I said OK. Fast forward 3 years later (just two days ago), I went to refill the windshield wiper fluid and saw corrosion on one of the battery electrodes. I took it in to my mechanic here in Hamilton who told me that the corrosion happened because it was missing a cap and that the battery was too big for my car. No harm was done to the car, however none of this was disclosed to me in Bowmanville. Unfortunately I don't speak car as I work in healthcare and I hope that my story will help at least someone out there.
Small shop big service never pressured or work performed that was not needed went in for a brake booster just needed a section of brake line replaced saved me time and a lot of money customer for life
A friend referred me to Wards and I was very pleasantly surprised. The service manager was friendly, honest and answered all my questions. My repair was simple. He explained everything to me and my car now runs smooth and sooooo quiet. I will be taking my car there from now on and so will my husband. I've referred them to my whole family.
