As much as I am a fan of the original location for these stores, the downtown Bowmanville location is severely lacking. Went and got ice cream tonight with the family. Though the service was quick and attentive, the issues lie with the lack of enough seating for more than one family at a time, and how soft the ice cream was. Since there was no seating for our family of 5, we decided to walk to the city hall steps to eat, assuming our ice cream would be plenty frozen to make that walk (yes, it was a hot day out, but we walked back in the shade). Before we even reached the next street up, our ice cream bowls were dripping everywhere, to the point where my son couldn't eat even half of his since it was all melted. Perhaps the freezers need to be checked because ice cream should last a little longer than that.
Bad experience! Left my ice cream on the counter. I was in the middle of a conversation with a nice person who was answering my question about the big tub as she was serving me. And suddenly the other girl interrupted the conversation and said. I can cash you out over here. I just felt uncomfortable and left the store. I was not even wasting anybody's time there.The store was not that busy I know where the cash counter is so why are you being rude?not professional.
We will ALWAYS come here and ALWAYS recommend this location above others. You have the best staff here and that just makes the ice cream experience so much better!
One one table to sit outside. Good selection of kawartha dairy THEY MOVED LOCATIONS!!! Now it is in downtown bowmanville rather than beside the Bliss nails. Please like my review!
Family of 4. Smallest size you can get for each of us. $30 yikes! Could buy a couple tubs. Will not be back. Also smelled of cigarette smoke when I walked in.
The ice cream is good but it’s super disappointing to check a stores hours online, make the drive out just to find out the store closed early from a note on the door. Would have been nice to know they were closing early through a social media post or something. Rating two stars after seeing staff turning the lights off because people were standing at the door, only to turn them back on when the people walked away. Didn’t make for a good impression. Edit: Store commented saying there was a Facebook post I missed. I’ll edit the review to a 3 star for me missing that post. Still upset by the staff turning the lights off and ignoring the group of people outside.
Was really craving some kawartha icecream. Before making the trek out to the bowmanville location looked up the hours online, said open till 10.. guess not. Showed up at 9:15 closed... really disappointed Enniskillen general store.
