Roam Coffee isn’t just a cafe - it’s a true community space. The warm, welcoming atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to meet up with friends or settle in for a relaxed afternoon. I also love that everything is refined sugar–free; it feels good knowing what I’m sipping. And the staff? Incredibly friendly and seriously talented (incredible latte art swans). If you haven’t been yet, Roam is absolutely worth a visit.
Awful service. The employees are extremely superficial & condescending. Everything is done for content. They do not treat their employees with any respect, an extremely hard environment to feel welcome in. If you are not a regular customer you will be treated highly differently. I gave this place a few chances but all 4-5 times I visited, it was the same experience: being rushed through my order, paying an absurd amount & getting treated horribly by young ladies making the coffee. This place needs a very thorough assessment and perhaps new staffing?
The coffee was just okay, I’ve definitely had better. The décor is cute, but the staff felt a bit lukewarm. What really surprised me, though, is the lack of basic café essential. A good café should function as an inviting third space for light work or studying, but there are no outlets and no public Wi-Fi. So unless you’re coming with a fully charged device and your own hotspot, you’re out of luck. At nearly $8 a latte, skipping something as standard as Wi-Fi feels like a pretty big oversight.
The perfect one stop shop for your coffee/sweet treat fix and a place to support local small businesses! My one girlfriend and I stopped in here on a whim this weekend and the staff were so lovely. The drinks alone knocked our experience out of the park! Plus in the back they have a massive space where you can explore and shop goods from local makers. I especially LOVE their instagram presence where they highlight other local businesses in the historic downtown Bowmanville and bring awareness to things happening in the community. It truly speaks volumes to who they are and what they stand for! So if you’re ever in need of a caffeine fix and have a case of the shoppies, 1000% swing by Roam Coffee!
Love this place. Coffee is awesome not to mention their matchas as well. Coffee is perfectly roasted, never bitter. Sweets are baked in house and I truly appreciate the vegan options offered, enter the vegan smore cookie. Yum and yum. Staff is super efficient, courteous and helpful.
Went here for the first time with my boyfriend, he got a cold iced chia latte and a cookie and I got a cold brew with oat milk (I would have loved almond milk but it was FANTASTIC with oat milk) and as I'm trying to have more plant based foods in my diet, I went with a chickpea salad sandwich and that was great too! We will go back agian for sure!
Very friendly staff and cute atmosphere. The cold brew had too much cream, so next time I’ll definitely ask for less. I enjoyed the shortbread and will definitely give the cafe another go! Update, went recently and still dislike their coffee drinks. I think it’s the beans they use? Something is off. Their baked goods are good!
