This is a great example of an all female run small business helping small businesses. Wow! This place is beautiful! Its setup is powerful, especially when you walk into the coffee shop at just the right time when the sun is shining through the windows. I love coming here. I bring my daughter with me when I visit. As a shopper, I find myself going in to see what the vendors have that’s different. And I love the events they hold! Especially the Book Lover’s Event! So happy to have this here, where I live! When I’m a vendor, all the polite and courteous ladies are there to help when they can. The fellow vendors I’ve met are like me, thankful for the opportunity to be a part of it all.

I was looking forward to do some shopping for the first time after a hair appointment across the street as I don’t live in Bowmanville. I was very disappointed to find out their website hours are incorrect. Please note they close on Saturdays at 5pm not 6pm and it’s the height of Christmas shopping season.

This place has gone downhill. I was a vendor here a while back and tbh never felt welcomed by the staff. I went today for the first time in years and the store looks so messy and dumpy. Odd arrangement of tables in middle of the store. Not one staff member said hello. Totally uninviting as a vendor and a customer. Nothing is drawing me to ever go again. Hey Sarah, look into hiring friendly staff members who give a simple hello. Looking at reviews my feelings aren't alone on this subject.

One of my absolute favorite places to go in Durham Region. I always have good experiences here, from the atmosphere to the large collection of quality handmade items. Every trip is a treat to myself. So many treasures to be found here. I only wish I had found out about this place sooner.

I am writing this review because it is exactly why I hate people who judge, especially kids with special needs. I am writing this review out of anger and sadness. I saw the IG post stating the store was open. I came with my daughter because I believe in supporting small businesses. I walked in and no one said good morning, for one. Holding my daughter’s hand, we were walking and she wanted to look at the children’s books. We did so. The older lady, grey hair, glasses … looked at us. Just smiled as if we were going to steal. I took my daughter’s hand again, and we walked the rest of the store. I grabbed two bags of food from Nutrition with Angela. My daughter saw stuffies, and she was playing with them. The same lady was helping another vendor set up her new section. My daughter touched some porcelain stuff and I said, not available. Suddenly, it went quiet next to me. I never felt so awkward and so, I returned the bags and left the store. I am sad because I love vendor stores but if this is the treatmen my daughter or I will get, never again will I step foot in here. If you have children with special needs avoid at all costs. I know this sounds dramatic but I am almost in tears writing this, as I am truly heart broken.

While the list of small businesses and vendors that are here may be good… If you’ve never shopped here before or attended to pick up an online order, just make sure you’re not interrupting the employee scrolling away on her phone. God forbid she take time away from her phone to actually help a paying customer! The annoyed tone and audible sigh was more than enough to lose a customer! I wonder if the small businesses and vendors who pay good money to be there would be happy knowing that customers are treated like this?

This shop is a fabulous gem to have downtown Bowmanvill; there is a huge variety of local goods by many incredible vendors. Highly recommend stopping by on the way through town!!

Hello Stacey, I was personally at the store last night and we were in fact open until 6pm. Though the cafe does close at 5pm. You can walk through the cafe to the back and continue to shop up until 6pm. Sorry for the confusion.
