I was very disappointed in my recent meal from Liberty Diner. I ordered the halibut dinner with Greek salad for take out. The fish was very heavy and doughy. Should be light and crispy. The salad was not fresh. No green lettuce. I had been for breakfast several times and was always pleased with the food and service.
This lively little diner at the bottom of Liberty St. in Bowmanville is a little gem! Staff are super friendly and the food is a solid A+ ! I had the Special Breakfast Burrito and it was more than filling enough! Will definitely dine here again!
This little diner is so cute - the vibes are high with bright coloured walls, diner style seating and a homey overall vibe. My aunt wanted to eat local for her Birthday so we made some reservations for our big group here on a Monday night- we definitely needed to make reservations as every other spot was filled!! I only got photos of my table’s food, but everything we had was great and everyone was satisfied with their meals! I personally had the Chicken Hoagie which came on a toasted baguette with grilled chicken and stir fried veggies - this was such an already awesome dish!! Everything I needed on one plate, and it came fresh and hot!! A great selection of all day breakfast as well as diner style dinner dishes, I will definitely needed to come back for Brunch!!
Took my dad here for his birthday brunch and holy omg soooo freakin' good we all left so full. I got the corned beef hash and didn't want to stop eating. The staff were super friendly and the owner (I think) came by and was making sure everyone was having a good meal/time. Definitely will be back and for sure recommend checking this place out if you haven't yet.
Had Dinner here last night, great food quality and amazing service, were taken care of our table by Uma, such a sweetheart, made the experience pleasant!! Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo is a must try!!
I went to this diner with my family today for lunch. The interior was very nice and welcoming, the customer service was AMAZING. The food was very delicious and for a reasonable price. The grilled chicken burger and the chicken & bacon fettuccine pasta were the highlight, we all loved it. The liberty wings were also super good! Overall, great experience, great people and great food!!
The food is decent and the staff are friendly. Michelle was lovely! I had breakfast - my bacon was very crispy - just how I like it. The home fries are not the kind with onion and peppers made on the flat top - just small square cut deep-fried potatoes but they were crispy. My friend had eggplant parm sandwich and she said it was really good. The coffee is OK…not as good as a coffee shop but strong (as it should be). Their fries are skin on which I like and the gravy, although not house-made is enjoyable - and it is hard to find good gravy these days.
