This is a fantastic shop. Lunch meals are always amazing. Staff is my favourite. Real people service real food. Other store products are great. If you need a future last minute meal they have great options, smoked meats that are quick and easy or raw meats for you to do yourself.
After raving about another similar BBQ spot, I was told that I had to try Stuttering John’s, so I did. I walked in around 1:40pm and was greeted with nothing but attitude, seemed put out that I was there at such a late time. Terrible first impression. I ordered a brisket sandwich and potato salad, the same thing I order from the other BBQ spot. The sandwich was dry and plain, the potato salad was flavourless. Stuttering John’s isn’t far from my work, but since they weren’t interested in my business and the food was disappointing. I’ll stick with the BBQ spot that are more than happy to serve me, with delicious food. All the best.
Was in the area and found this place on google. Had intentions of getting some brisket. Hey they have brisket burger, count me in! Talked to the lovely lady at the cash and told her I was starving. She told me to get the brisket Big Mac. I do what I’m told. Got 2 of the bad boys for me an the old lady. I literally inhaled it. Brisket was nice and tender and juicy and that beautiful smoke flavour. Dressed like a Big Mac. An upgrade I didn’t know I needed. This brisket Big Mac did not let me down. I’m a foodie, and am usually disappointed when I get hyped up for food.this was a blessing in disguise. A diamond in the rough. So glad we chose and got introduced to this place. Took a Brisket Class because I kept screwing up hot and fast cooking. I have only made one since class, but by far my best work! This class was worth the money. Will look at more down the road! John was very knowledable and tolerate to my plethora of questions! Now that he is a Yoder dealer, I am looking at getting myself a pellet grill to join my fleet of smokers!
I hired Stuttering John's to cater my wedding and they did NOT disappoint. The food was amazing and their customer service was spot on. Georgia and John are willing to work with you to customize the perfect menu for your event. Our guests are still talking about the food 2 months after our wedding! I highly recommend Stuttering John's for your next catered event!
Been to all of their locations over the years, and have used their catering service for a unique corporate event as well as our wedding anniversary. A hit every time with their service, quality and quantity of food, variety, etc.. Looking forward to our next visit at the new Bowmanville location!
Came here to take my Dad out for Father's day. Called a couple times and got the voicemail. Decided to just drive out. Get here and find a sign taped to the door that its closed for a family wedding. No mention of this on the voicemail. Extremely disappointed. At least put it on your voicemail. Feel like after this I'll eat where my patronage is a little more valued.
